Me and dad spent a day figuring out how to use his zoom r8 portable studio, and recorded some guitar chords he had been jamming with. I added some bass and we sketched out a melody that dad quickly scribbled some lyrics for and we recorded his vocals.. alright, the demo was finished! Next we proceeded to make another version to explore some more functions of the r8, like the integrated drum machine. I realised I had brought my Elektron Digitone synth, and we dug out a midi keyboard from a closet to record some synth pads. Added a 12 string guitar part, and laborated with some live muting and mixing, which is the way you have to do it on the r8. The result is a possibly the first piece of music we ever collaborated on. Hopefully more to follow!
