Zone Ambiante Postview

By XC3N on March 1, 2026 11:46 pm

So I did the live performance last Tuesday and, this time, I managed to capture both audio and video properly (last time I played Zone Ambiante I messed up on both XD)

Here is a 6 mins edit from part of the set, using the stems recorded live and redoing the mix a lil better.

I will produce a better mixed version complete with video on youtube in the near future. Please let me know in the comments if you would like to be notified when I do so!

Hardware:
Dirtywave M8
Elektron Machinedrum SPS-1UW+/MCL
Soma Lab Lyra 8
Beetlecrab Tempera
MAM MB33
Strymon Bigsky
Erica Synths+112dB Echolocator

Recorded from 1010 Bluebox
Mixed in Ableton Live with Fabfilter and other plugins + Oxford Mastering Plugins

I love this kind of downtempo minimal techno with 303 bass and sirens that trail off into space.

Awesome. This was such a mood. I miss music that lets you sink into a rhythm and just settle in for the ride... I'd be so at home at this venue lol. Definitely let me know when the mix/youtube is up!

I love the sound design here. What is making the harmonica(?) sound. So good.

Oh man, I can't even imagine this in a live setting... like I'm sure I would have gotten soooooooo lost in the vibes.  The sound design a lot would have me transfixed, but this has such a great development and all the parts work so well to balance out that hypnotic energy with like melodic storytelling... awesome work.

Oh wow tres tres cool! C’est une performance improvisée?

Amazing stuff, crazy to think that's from a live show, great job!

Do you have live recording or the youtube version will be longer? Seems like something to get lost in. What a vibe

Hey everyone I am catching up and I promise to listen to your songs soon!
Here is a youtube link for the live performance:

Thanks! I really like that too, I've seen it called Psybient and I think it's fitting. In a similar genre I quite like Carbon Based Life Forms

Thanks! The sound you are describing is the Soma Lyra-8 through a Strymon Bigsky! :3

Merci! Ouais pour la plupart, évidement bon nombre de séquences sont préprogrammées mais les enchaînements sont improvisés, ainsi que les mélodies et les lamentations du lyra-8 haha
