Interstellar Soundscapes (Starbound)

By Xavier on February 20, 2026 11:05 pm

I wrote this song for my band, Interstellar Soundscapes — a project built on vision, discipline, and the belief that we are meant for something greater. I serve as the leader and saxophonist, and our sound draws heavy inspiration from Japanese jazz fusion pioneers like Casiopea, T-Square, and Dimension — music that feels like motion, like velocity, like the soundtrack to a journey beyond the horizon.

We’ve needed original material for a long time. So instead of waiting, I created. This entire piece was written in a single night — born out of urgency, ambition, and the fire to move forward.

To me, this song feels like a battle — not one of defeat, but of endurance. It represents pushing through resistance, keeping the engine running when doubt creeps in, and chasing a brighter future that waits just beyond sight. It is a reminder that if I stay consistent, if I refuse to stop, the reward will come. One day, every hope and every dream I carry will become reality.

This track is more than music — it is momentum.

Every instrument you hear was performed by me: guitar, synths, piano, bass, drums, and auxiliary. It’s a testament to self-belief and relentless forward motion.

If you’d like to follow the journey, our band Instagram is @interstellar_soundscapes, and mine is @thegreat_avirex.

The engine is running. We are starbound. 🌌

man! great track! love the theme, I think is great. I can really feel the Casiopea influence (a band I really like btw).
all the best to your band and personal projects! keep composing!

Impressive drums! The whole track evoked memories of Phantasy Star and Ragnarok Online. Although the drums is what compelled me to write this comment, the whole arrangement is impeccable. Seems to me to be a great display Japanese City Pop from the 80s.

Really digging the epic Japanese fusion vibe. Would love to hear this in a full live band rendition.

Starbound would be a very different game with this kind of music, but it would absolutely be an improvement if it had more like this.
