Quase La

Quase lá.
("Nearly there")

This week I decided to revisit an old WB from week 3.
There was this bit in the middle of the song that I found really interesting but it just lasted a few seconds.
It is basically a chord progression but I liked how simple it was so I added a few more notes to get a fuller voicing and that was it.
I did try a few other layers on top but ended up deleting them as I think it sounds good with a fairly minimal instrumentation.

See you next week.

very peaceful, great intermission on an album

kids these days: "what's an album?"

This is just lovely.

Oh yeah, I'm really feeling this! The ambient tone you set at the beginning is beautiful, paired with the clicks at 1:00 it's so nice. The miniscule build up at 1:30 is also such a good little teaser, this is awesome!

Thanks, this is what I was going for!
I feel like a lot of what I've been doing lately can be stripped down to a few essential elements and it will still hold up. All the other stuff on top is just ear candy, but I'm going for free range organic sounds now!

Thanks! I feel like doing minimal arrangements of previous WB till the end of the year! 6 weeks to go!!!!

I love this, very calm and peaceful. The little background noise at 1:25 is a nice touch. It could probably do with a little more development though.

I did do a lot more (WB week 3), but I don't think it sounded that good... maybe I need to try a different approach.
Thanks for listening!

The ticking halfway thru really brought the room together (to abuse a phrase from a movie) Very nice!
