PADRE

By Water_Feature on February 8, 2026 9:52 am

Another short 2-parter. Started off trying to do a Dubbel Dutch chill riddim but it felt empty without a Bad Gyal to rap over it.. so ended up with a White Lotus type thing for the second half. Mostly M8 but subbed in some guitars at the last moment from my woefully underused Prophet X. The 'Padre' tag is a random sample from an amiga folder, no idea how it got on my M8 but there's some fun stuff in there.

Absolute banger. Love the sound choices in this, the little percussion hits, and the switchup.

I agree, great decisions made here. Everything works well together, lots of nice subtle things to listen for in the background

fun bop. melody could easily be a hit song and its in my head now. great stuff

Fun track! Makes me excited for spring. Nice sounds and I like the use of distortion

thanks for the nice comments!

Sounds so damn good. Wouldn't mind to hear more of that pad at the end.

Cool rhythms! I love the way you treat the clap sample around the 0:39 mark, as well as that guitar part around 0:49. big_smile
