AN ORANGEDRINK HYPERINDIE (?) COLLAB
(he's not prepared for where I took his samples)

so I started a little airy chord progression.  some fun FM poly mod routing to slide one note independent from the other 3.
Then the WB discord got me thinking about hyperpop.
THEN, a holiday surprise, ORANGEDRINK reaches out asking if i wanna collab (i had last-minute messaged him about this in week 30, but it was too late).

So I sent over the chords I was looking at, and he sends back some great drums, guitar, and trumpet.  It really felt meant-to-be; OD fit the vibe perfectly.  Drew even shared a README with his ideas for the structure.  (I barely read it; hopefully he likes where I ended up taking it...)

I was most hyped for the drums, knowing the Analog Heat could slam them.  With a little bit of chopping for flavor, a "rotation" putting Drew's fills on the first bar of the loop instead of the last, and a driving bass stab, they played really nicely with the Saturation circuit.

And then I started the middle section...
gonna just let you listen to that with no intro.  maybe i'll write up some more notes later.
(the one thing i'll share is that i'm really happy with the reharmonization of OD's interpretation of my harmony)

I don't think anyone could be prepared for what you did here
