a take on one of my favorite melodies i've written (2018).  so feels xtra nostalgic?
in some moments here, i feel like I've done it justice.  but this is all i have this week.

m8 tracker, 7 tracks, all synthesized, raw internal render.

Definitely a nice melody, would be nice to have it popped out a bit more.

great structure & chords!!!

Absolutely wild tones. I can hear a melody sneak in there, but it's like some trippy remix of a track I'd also like to hear. Oh it does seem to come together toward the end. Nice!

Oh shit we footworking up in this here thang or what? Instant favorite, love this.

Sorry, double-commenting: love the melodic direction of this.

the nonstop double-time kick was a key part of the original 2018 sketch

@ModalModule oo i really like that take.  Totally; this wasn't at all what the original concept was.  part of it was struggle to figure out where to develop the original tune; you can hear a not-fleshed-out variation in the middle, but most of the success here came from jumping in a totally different direction.

(though there are some links even in the "remix" bit.  the quintuplet groove, the quarter-note bass rhythm)

The chippy melody at the very start and end is lovely, and it's amazing you can even make that wild bass sound with an M8.  FM, I guess?

I can imagine this absolutely tearing apart a club, love that intro melody and the way it just switches up instantly threw me halfway across the room. I love how the melodies sneak in as the tune progresses. Gorgeous sound!

AAAAAaaaaaa

The melody part is really nice, as ModalModule said it feels like a trippy remix! Would fit many styles.
Amazing sound design as well, I want to steal your instruments directory smile

Nice layers

super interesting rhythm work going on here, very sophisticated yet still grooving!

Love the rhythm here, especially the "glass-bottle" elements. Very special track. Well played.
