Respite and Relief

By walternormand on February 15, 2026 5:33 am

I've spent too long deliberating over my other weeklybeat and my head hurts.
Instead, I stop, turn on the keyboard and let myself record without thinking.
I repeat, and I let the music flow without judgement.
A sense of relief washes over me as my mind relaxes.

Sonically this matches the vibe of your prose.

Awesome sound design. Love this track!

Nice! Love the modulated cutoff on that synth, and how everything grows and builds. That high pitched layer that sits on top of everything at the end is lovely, too. Beautiful, relaxing, and inspiring!

a very good feeling

i'm almost always happy when i make time just to PLAY and turn that rusty old brain off for a little bit
thank you for this, Uncle Walter

Interesting you think so, the words are usually very much an afterthought! Thank you for listening!

Thank you very much, I am quite pleased with the sound design! I went to make a similar track this week but the synth didn't want to play sad Hopefully not the last we hear from it!

Thank you! I am quite a big fan of that modulated synth patch too. Your comment was lovely to read, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
