Melons

I went through a similar process as last week. I didn't have a lot of spare time, so I started something new on the m8 and just stuck with some basic ideas that presented themselves while just fiddling around. Nothing groundbreaking, but fine, I guess. I just built stuff around it and focused on just getting things done.

I did quite a bit of tweaking of certain details. There are multiple things I have doubts about or don't really like yet, but without concrete ideas for improving them. So this is it.

I did some light mastering in Ableton. I actually went back and forth between rendering and mastering a bit, as I found that some levels were off (to my taste). I used u-he's Satin to give it some grit; I hope it is nice and not overdoing it.

› The deeper meaning behind the title?

My summer holidays started now. I wonder what it will do with my weekly beat routines, but I am committed to uploading something every week.

The beat has a pleasing tickle and I really dig the melody.
It's important to always consider the deeper meanings of these tracks too, so good job big_smile

The part with LFOs on panning is so satisfying, love having the arp-like patterns chasing each other.
A great feeling of 3D space all along.
The rhythm also keeps it groovy and interesting, great programming.
Nice job!

That slidey bassline moving around the downbeats is really cool, especially in the buildup with the arp it gives a cool rhythmic swirl. Nice work!
