Etna

My summer holidays started. We started the holidays with a two-day visit to a theme park with the kids. Currently, we are travelling to family in Italy, stopping a few times on the way there. Right now we are at our fist stop at a small French town near Metz. There's a lot of green around, which is nice, but the place feels a bit abandoned. Anyway, it's just for one night.
Tomorrow we'll be in Switzerland for our second stop and I expect we'll be out most of the night, so I thought I'd better finish something for Weekly Beats today.
I knew I would have few opportunities this week to use any gear. I decided to make something in Sunvox, as it runs on my phone, which is always within reach. I just did some light mastering on my laptop after finishing the track on my phone today.
The track is also somewhat inspired by the work of Caterina Barbieri - I was listening to her music while packing. I like how she is able to use relatively simple patterns but always make something rich and interesting with them. The track is named Etna, as a reference to a video that I saw of Caterina Barbieri performing near Mount Etna.
