Quarantine

So this one is a straight forward metal song. Pretty proud of the drum programming this week. Wish I could come up with better vocal melodies/sing better and this might have been even better but it is what it is. Intro could probably be better too. I reconcile these flaws by thinking that once I've improved/learned more things later down the line I could always touch up/record this stuff next year for an album.

The good thing about this one is that I spent a lot of time on it this week and had fun doing so, I didn't feel like it was a chore to write it like I've felt the past couple of weeks.

Lyrics:

Reversing the course of destiny
And standing still
(Passing)

Breathe in empathy lest find yourself
Within your sin
(Leave now)

Moved Aside, fled the scene
Fallacy
Callously

Light expands and fades
Nothing is real, it is too late

Fading, lost in distant gray

All is lost and nothing gained
I cannot see another way

Read the words you wish you could retain
But they are now washed out

Fading, lost in distant gray

The same velocity in the shade of a tree
Contained in some dark place far away
So hard to obtain when it slips away into nothing

YES@!!!!! \m/

WOW great track!

Once the singing started, shit got real. I bet you can make it pop better and use echoes at some points on it.

Those vocals are spot on! The guitar mixing is fantastic too heart This is a really cool tune

drums sound great - vocal mix is really nice

hells yes!

Amazing! Your guitar playing is so good and the drums are sounding nice! I love this!

Those drums were nice. When thinking about what can improve on a track, I find going back to a track even a couple of months later really shows me how much I have learned. If you're not liking something, give it some time and build up your toolbox, then turn it into what it's meant to be.
