A little retro-futuristic synth tune. I kind of ran out of juice today and this doesn't really have the layers and excitement that I'd like it to have, but it'll do for this week's creative output.
‹ Song Notes
Lately when I've been going through all my songs that I can potentially pair up for album releases I found that I had quite a few nice tunes that I could start a synthwave album with, so this song was/is intended to be a piece of that kind of vibe. I've been wanting to take my electronic compositions up a level though and add some complexity and depth to the arrangements, but I didn't really get that far with this one. Hell, if someone is interested in taking this song and re-arranging it, adding some melodies, maybe some cool sound effects, by all mean reach out to me about it. I don't collab enough and it would make life so much easier, haha.
Speaking of which, I'm going to segment my music into two primary projects sometime this year when I start releasing albums:
1. Venaht (progressive metal, gothic, heavy, acoustic, experimental, somber and anything dark)
2. Catgazer (Chiptune, synth stuff, pop, easy listening, primarily happier vibes).
This falls into the realm of Catgazer, whereas last week's tune would have been a Venaht track. There may be some overlap here and there, but I think I need the two projects because I'm so fickle with my mood and what kind of music I want to make week to week.
Keeping the journaling short this week. I got a work trip I'm getting ready for and I got to get up at 4:30am tomorrow so I can make it to the airport two hours early, ugh. I hate traveling. haha. Hopefully Minnesota/Minneapolis is cool. I probably won't be able to do a lot while I'm there on account of it being a work trip and all but I have a few hours to burn on Thursday, which is when I fly back, so I'll need to figure out what would be cool to see. Maybe the Mall of America since it'll be raining most of the week? Hopefully no flight cancellations from thunderstorms, fingers crossed.
