Lost in the Passage of Time

I saw one of Orange Drink's videos recently where he did a live acoustic jam and it took me back to when I lived at my parent's house and I would be up at like 3 in the morning in the garage jamming out on my acoustic guitar and singing, just really being in the moment where I was alone and no one could hear me so I didn't feel anxiety and it felt liberating. So I decided I wanted to try to capture that with an acoustic guitar song this week. For like the last month or so I've been listening to a lot of darkwave/goth rock and one of the bands I enjoy the most is a band called Lycia. I feel like their influence really shows through on this track. In general, pretty happy with this one. I deliberately kept the vocals kind of mixed low while trying my best to EQ it so that the lyrics would be audible but the vibe I'm going for here is more of a dreamy-washed out feeling. I had the vocals mixed higher at one point but I felt like they were overpowering the arrangement. I don't think Whisperwave is a thing but I'm going to dub this song that nonetheless.
Also, I don't know if this speaks to my insecurity about my lyricism because I always want to say what a song is about, but the idea behind this song is about feeling like there's never going to be enough time to do everything you want in life. And also a little bit about the concept of "The Second Death" and hoping art can transcend it.
