KHAOSリ遺ヨ

By ViridianLoom on April 19, 2020 11:33 pm

I set out using Chaos  Bar from Phantasy Star Online as a reference track for inspiration and this completely different thing came out. Really gothic ambient piece set in 12/8 with proggy rhythms, nothing at all in common with the source material haha.

I'm a little bummed about my guitar solo because I recorded a better one and, right before saving I thought "Let's hear how that sounds and then I'll save it" and  then my DAW crashed. Considering the time crunch I just took that as a loss, recorded a Frankensteined subpar solo, and submitted it. It is what it is.

Nice dark mood here. I liked the guitar solo, sorry to hear about your DAW crashing sad

Pretty tight darkness to it. Dunno if I'd describe it as goth, all these synths sound more like cyberpunk.

Tight and dramatic, but what a journey! Especially enjoy when the guitar solo shreds away on top of those sweeping synths, well done!

Ooo, this rhythm is great. The  time sig adds a pretty cool syncopated feeling to the whole track. Love how it builds into the synths and guitar too, that solo is pretty wild. I'm curious as to what the better one sounds like in comparison. It's a shame it got wiped like that, I know that feeling haha. Great stuff.

Dig the odd meter groove with the dark feel and the solo still worked fine.  Decent tone too.  Some nice synth pads going on.
