Some Things Just Never Click the First Time

Want to thank the absolute gigachad that is Apticx (or Appticket) for encouraging me to do WeeklyBeats (even though I admittedly made a less-than-stellar composition despite the countdown ending on Monday not Sunday)

I don't really expect this track to be "Very Good" in many people's eyes because I only spent like what 3 hours on this track and it sounds quite lackluster considering its just a loop and there's not really any structure (chorus, buildup, whatever) and is just "oooh new instrument time now repeat it again"

Anyway, I kind of just didn't do much considering the song is only like three different patterns and two automations x2. Hopefully I'll learn to actually make transitions and stuff like that so I can actually have a structure for once.

I probably could have tried to continue the song and have a structure but like I don't know anything about transitions other than "ooh sometimes you can use silence + vocals as a transition"

Public Domain because I literally do not care and this track is literal buns as mentioned before

Anyway on a final note, I do think that some feedback could help me make better stuff so It'd be quite nice if you leave some tips or tricks or whatever. :DDD

VST/Instruments used: FL Studio, Chipsynth C64, NES VST, Chipdrum (<- nuisance to work with because it lags like crazy at times), AtlantisFilter (part of the Atlantis synth but uhh I forgot who made it since I got it years ago), Fruity Filter, Valhalla Supermassive, and FabFilter C-2

Welcome to the platform! glad to have you here! The best part about weeklybeats isnt making the most perfect banger tracks each week but the consistency and practice from it so if you keep at it there will be improvement happening every week no matter what even if it sometimes doesent feel like it. Happy weeklybeating (that kinda sounds illegal)

Awesome job starting out on this path, hope to you stick with it and it helps you grow your musical skills.

As for tips: try to make a second section to the song. Same instruments, but slightly different chords and melody. Alternate between section A and B. Then try to see what you can do to make the transition between the parts work.
