cold front

By v0 on January 21, 2024 11:40 pm

Decided to go with a sound design focused cinematic ambient piece this week. I kept thinking it needed something more, but everything I tried adding didn't result in any improvement to my ear. So, I left it alone. Sticking with less is more on this one and I think it turned out pretty good. Hope you all are doing well and I'm looking forward to checking out what everyone worked on this week. heart

i can feel it. nice sounds

nice cinematic piece!

Great atmosphere, epic chords!

I think the less is more concept is usually the right choice.  I've built complex modular synth patches for live performance and one thing I always do is then go through the patch is remove as much as possible.  Even if it's only a few cables, it's always for the better.

Nice pacing in this which is an important element in these types of pieces. Lovely.

I agree less is more was the way to go on this one.  It really creates a frigid and ominous mood.

this sounds like my world right now. thx (and yeah, a fan of the minimal nature here) heart

Very cool space to be in! The title suits the piece well.

I know the feeling of how you never feel that its complete, but in the end its always best to just go with the gut rather than overdo it. Def got the cinematic vibe down.

such a difficult creative pursuit to find that "complete" feeling
this feels like it resolved nicely - i enjoyed the simplicity

enjoyed this!

Such lush textures, I agree that it is effective as is with a less is more approach. Nice!

Being just outside of Chicago with -20 temps I def can feel the cold front! Well done
