Rain-slick

Let's go week 7! It's be a slightly damp one over here in California, nice to sit inside and work on this on a rainy Sunday.

Another one started on the M8 and then fleshed out in Ableton with a sprinkling of sax. I put together an OMX-27 kit that I just got recently and hoped to use it in its M8 macro mode to record a live arrangement with muting/soloing and improv on top, but opted to arrange in Ableton instead. Maybe next week! Stoked for the live potential.

Noticing this one ended up with a similar vibe to my week 4 submission. I had a brief moment of worry that it was a little too similar, but it's also fun to see what I gravitate to as I repeat this process.

Now that this is done, it's time for me to CAD up a little stand for my M8! Been wanting a good way to prop it up on my desk and it's time to put my 3D printer to work.

Giving big nujabes and thievery corporation vibes on this one!! So slick and laid back even at the bpm

Lovely sax improvisation, sounds fenomenal! Super laid back beat even though all the elements are pretty high tempo.

the heavy release on the synth during the break makes way for that chill sax groove

Thanks a bunch! It’s been super fun seeing more how I can work my sax into my recorded stuff.

Hell yeah, thanks! I think that transition is my favorite part.
