Lanai Time

Quick little one this week. Almost didn't get myself to spend the time to do it this week. Typing this in the car on the way to the airport after a restorative vacation with my wonderful partner and some close friends.

Messed around with a ukulele that was at the house we stayed at and put a quick beat over it with some soft synths in Ableton. Got some field recordings of the frogs and rain for some added texture.

And it's just above the one minute minimum without planning! tongue

I love the idea of music as an archive of memory.
Tracks like this can just send you back to the place you made them. It helps its a lush little jam too big_smile

Uke sounds great in this context.
Field recordings add so much complexity to things.
If a picture is worth a thousand words, a field recording is worth a thousand notes.

nice! and way more elaborate than it could have been, so kudos to making it feel like a proper beat hehe.
