Cave Jaunt

By uhhuh_absolutely on February 22, 2026 11:52 pm

I decided to pare things back a bit with this one, since all my past submissions have been pretty well soaked in reverb and delay.

Ended up with something that feels a bit like a cheerful jaunt through a dank cave in an old, pixel-art RPG. Added some EWI toward the end for a human-ish element.

I also had fun taking the same sample of a synth line I recorded on an E-piano style patch pitched at different octaves and treated differently.

And yeah, there is still some reverb and delay, but I swear I used some restraint!

Keep making art, y'all!

the synth with the delay around 1:20 reminds me of the Reading Rainbow theme song which makes me happy. very pleasant, thank you

You can't beat a jaunt through a dank pixel cave!

Mmm this sounds like the evening.

The rattly percussion bouncing around is tickling my brain.

Great timbres, lovely glitchy groove.
