Weekly Rebirth

Well, WB2026. What more can be said than:

"Here we go again!"

Week 1 is the opposite style of track I intended to make, I figured I'd go straight into some one man band stuff but honestly, it's a throwback to WB2012 with some 145BPM trance/psy trance kind of vibes. Written Sunday night in less than 2 hours, it's, alright smile

I started the intro inspired by binging the final season of Stranger Things 15 mins before midnight here in Australia on New Years Eve, I liked the idea of the beat evolving across "two whole years" but, that didn't really happen.

I love the synthy vibe to this. Parts feel like stranger things, and others remind me of Miami Vice (my favorite show gram the 80s)
When the kick comes in it really blew me away. The extended intro was a great way to make them hit!

WE ARE BACK!
missed you man
this is the year we collaborate

welcome back!
most ear catching for me is after about 3:20 when the beat contextualizes the arp synth and together they make a nice groove.

I like the breakbeat being mixed with the filtered breakbeat, or some kind of squelchy synth, the crunchy and soft kind of interacting

Thanks for all the comments smile yeah you got me, I was trying to add some spice to the bars and decided to experiment throwing in some old skool breakbeat loops but messing with them and, honestly, that's when I started to really feel the track myself! From memory, I used a few different instances of Pulveriser Demoliton Unit in Reason and did some automation, really highlights some funky haromonics!

love those opening pad chords and the whole groove of the song.  awesome variation of the main ostinato going on especially those deeper synths.

A jaaaaammm!

That track is a blast, with a great pulse moving us forward into 2026. I'm looking forward to more of your tracks this year!

Welcome Back!

pulling me into another world.
hopefully i can make it back in time for week 2

Maybe next year
This is a very serviceable beat
