Silver Lining

Back with some more 90s/2000s style Moby/Groove Armada sounds.
I wrote this one a touch more "tradtionally", sequencing drum patterns then rendering them into the track rather than just drawing them in by hand. I've been feeling this kind of respect for how the legends were making these kind of tunes back in the day that inspired me to even make music in the first place.
For the bridge sections, I picked a sample based string section which gave a nice Moby feel combined with a breakbeat loop.
The piano melody is probably the most heart felt thing I've written since Lighthaze World, just taking a moment to reflect, feel proud, of how I'm feeling at 40, how much I've got "together" mentally and to be thankful for in the home. In WB2012 I was an expecting father... now that same daughter is headed to High School next week. It's crazy how time flies. And I feel like WeeklyBeats has been a soundtrack/audio log of my thoughts throughout fatherhood, work, trials and tribulations. It's pretty rad
The title has alot of meanings, the way my hair looks these days, that things haven't always been peachy but the good out weighs the bad... I feel like 2026 is going to be a good year. I feel like my 40s are going to be awesome.
Last year I wrote something when the youngest was about to start kinder, now she's about to start prep. Just reminding myself that anything I've ever worried about, things out of my control i.e growing older, my kids growing, there was no need.
