Pirate Life

Thanks for the upload link Aday!

I JUST missed the deadline due to trying to record my vocals within the last 15 minutes (I know, rushed, 1 take) and for some reason the Blue Yeti just wouldn't work. So unfortunately I had to resort to using a razor gaming headset and record straight into Reason with just 5 minutes to go, my 3 and 5 year old daughters trying to ask me questions, help them put fake earrings on, this kind of just adds to the whole thing lol.

3/4 (I think? it's full of triplets if it's 4/4) pirate metal with some half decent vocals but again ruined by obvious popping, no time to edit volumes/peaks, no chance for a re-take, no pop filter etc lol. So, I left it in it's raw format with the crap mic recording to be fair and not abuse the re-upload link (I exported and started uploading the track with 2 minutes to go) I came up with the idea due to Sea of Thieves coming out last week + listening to alot of Alestorm of late. The track really took a back seat though as my wife is currently in hospital with a chest infection so it's been an eventful weekend after working 8 hours overtime on Saturday!

Lyrics:

We scale the world,
of land and sea,
to ready a crew,
most dastardly.

Our quest for gold,
And treasury.
A tale of old
and misery.

We seek what lies, beyond the sea.
Treasures of gold, and destiny.
We came to fight, until our death.
Burried within, this sacred depth.

YIKES - sorry about your wife - hope she has a speedy recovery.  Lots of things going on in your life - amazing that you still had the time to whip out a very cool track!  I like to think helping the kids with earrings is what got you on the pirate theme.  I love the ascending note line, very.......JOLLY ROGER

It's definitely 4/4. As far as triplets go, it's not even nearly reaching the levels of a bolero.

Classic rock, and the vocals are very piratical.
