A silly track from me this week smashing out on a revers bass tip :-D Cowbell builds, silly drops, huge ramp ups - all while hands are planted firmly in the air.

GO WIV DA BASS LINE - KICK IT AND IT SOUNDS LIK DIS! Yes, had had a few drinks when I started this - was extremely sober this morning when I mastered it. Hehehehe.

There's quite a few technical probs with this track!! Especially in the last section... hats are off by about -.3 of a beat, and there's fuckn' Reaper mini fade ramps on everything I repasted for the ramp down at the end (not sure how that setting got reset) and some automation went AWOL. It's funny tho, I think the pounding kick just pulls it all back together somehow.

You'll notice it's all waveform. This is something I tend to do when working on oldskool tracks - I'll pre-bounce every musical element into a sample and have a separate "sample generation" session where I pre-pitch and prepare everything. Often baking in reverbs and EQ into the WAV elements too. Then repitching the elements in the second session if they are not a musical sequence. I guess it's a kickon from using the Amiga, but I just find it gives me the ease of throwing sequences around, doing microtiming and seeing exactly when things come in and out.
