All I Want For Christmas Is Some Ice Cream

By Tweaklab on December 23, 2018 11:59 pm

So, taking straight out of Green Day's song writing hand book I present to you some ice cream power chords fueled with some RAW vocals. That's right. I didn't vocode myself. I just wanted to rip the band aid off and get used to hearing my own voice in a song. I'm way out of key but it was just a fun song, my 5 year old has a great unplanned cameo at the end that just makes the song even more awesome for what I was trying to achieve. She has been asking me to play Minecraft with her throughout this song's creation (about 1 hour). Vocals were 100% improvised and 1 take, inspired by First of October. The whole mix is not great, at all. I just wanted the vocals to be somewhat audible, again, to step out of my comfort zone as WeeklyBeats is almost over for another year.

Now! The vocals. Please be kind lol

Just another WeeklyBeat,
Will I make it to the end or wind up on the street?
Well I don't know, do you have a clue...
How much fun it's to be you.

Santa's coming in his sleigh
Will he have much to say
I don't think he will like the hay bed that I made for him under the house.

Gotta wrap all the presents
Put them under the tree before bed time and noone will see them
I don't think I'll get anything for Christmas cause I've been a pretty bad boy this year
But then Santa loves us equally and everybody should just get presents.
Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho
Daddy, hurry uuuuup.
