Chapter 2 - Pseudo Boss

By tuyieu.beats on January 11, 2026 11:59 pm

Finally!! Sync problems and headaches.
The little knights arrive at a clearing and see what might be the Pseudo-Boss. After a quiet approach, the battle begins.

note: impossible to find a solution for the syncing problem. Submitted 57 seconds before deadline. We couldn't be left behind. Sorry.

Hope you've sharpened your sword and got +3 stamina! Best of luck!

Such funky percussion. Instant head nod and picked up my guitar.

Great, great sound palette here

oh, thanks! i wish the game was real.  wink)

I guess you beat the pseudo boss!

Too bad about the sync problems. I'm still having issues getting the sync consistently stable on my hardware setup. Still looking for a proper midi intersection device. I suspect that all thosechained  midi through connections are not the best idea wink

How do you work?
Since you have sync-problems I guess you work out of the box, at least partially?

-.-.-.-

The Sync problems are basically two: one more frequent than the other: 1 - Pocket Operators, when recording live with other gear or tracks... you always have to go and correct it, even with same bpm; 2 - the most common and irritating problem: when all is good and you're happy with the result, it's time too export and... LISTEN. And then i have spasms. This week (week 4) same shite. Very frustrating. And i heard it side by side (BandLab play VS exported mp3/m4a/wav) dozens of times, just to be sure. I even tried to blind guess and correct a few but... we had no time to the rest of the unsynced material. Sad. And so we turned to Reaper.

So workflow is like this:
1 - one of us comes up with an idea, sharing via message and eventually putting it on a new BandLab project (i think on week2 the main track was "pulled" from whatsapp - shame on us! - such was the hurry). Sometimes we talk about the non existent game.
2 - the other listens and starts to build up, doing something over it. With it. Or doing something different but inspired by.
3 - Both are constantly tweaking stuff all around in BandLab
4 - time urges and last decisions must be made.
5 - exports are made after some EQ and basic stuff. Headaches and new spasms begin.  wink
6 - Time for descriptions.

our aim is to work dawless. Just that. If we could we would do it all live, believe me.

cheers.--- all the best with midi and all around!!!  smile
