Maurilia

By Tristan Louth-Robins on January 30, 2014 7:50 am

The piece is a *broad* thematic extension of last week's Cities track, except that the structure and the instrumentation which characterised the former have been exaggerated resulting in a much longer drone-like piece with subtle changes in texture and timbre.  Electric guitar and the larger of my two reed organs (the RM Tempo) make an appearance as well as more exclusive use of manipulated field recordings.

Oh wow - 30 seconds in and is giving me Labradford flashbacks .. awesome stuff - conjures images of haunted scenarios in a twisted dark old Western!

Loved it. Introspective; sad, longing, hope, loss, determination and the future.

Remarkably, I was watching Westworld the same night I was layering disjointed loops on the Memory Man.

Also, thanks for the kinds words regarding the track guys!  big_smile  I really feel like I'm getting into some rewarding studio work at the moment.

Thanks smile I think this is best thing I've done in WB to date.  I'd like to go back and revise a couple of areas, but overall I'm pretty happy with the outcome.

grate ambiance!!! and textures!!!

really nice flow!

Very enjoyable piece!  Great tones.  Beautiful drifts with the desolate guitar with well paced dynamics.  Well done!

Beautiful track! Really like how all the elements work together to continuously move the music forward.

Sounds like a cliche but it reminds me on Pink Floyd. Great ambient work. Thanks I could download it! This will save me on a stressful day!

Thanks everyone, I'm very pleased you've enjoyed this piece.
