Damages over the distance

By Tristan Louth-Robins on March 6, 2022 3:45 am

Back to an external input this week. The patch is sort of a continuation from the previous weeks - namely exploiting filter and morphagene control to affect the overall sound.

This time, I'm using the envelope follower from an electric guitar loop to control the CV of the Ochd. This variable speed control to the LFO affects the L-R pan of the main signal and a bus passing through the Morph and DLD. It also controls the dry/wet function of the Morph. In addition to the loop, I'm playing some slide over the top. It's a little crunchier than usual, largely due to the volatility of the wasp filter when is sweeps across a resonant band. I quite like it and feel like it matches up with the bleak, melancholy mood I was going for.

Love the melancholic mood. The guitars are really nice.

This is not such melancholic for me. There are some uplifting parts that give hope and confidence. I enjoyed listening and watching.
