WB 4 - Not This Time

By Tristan Baldi on January 28, 2024 4:31 pm

Hi!

An Ableton project this time, featuring my Ibanez '81 Artist, Acid V, Fors Chiral, Fors Pluck, the glorious MS 2 free plugin by Mesla (leads notably here), M4L Tree Tone, Operator (I made all the drums with it as well as the sub bass), Wavetable, Pigments for the choirs.

No time to mix it, no time to do a lot of things! Usually I just hate finishing tracks in a DAw, it helps not having time to beat around the bush though. I owe this new achievement to Weekly Beats.

Youtube video:

Love the contrast the guitar gives, both the slower strumming sounds and the quick picking.

And at 2:20ish, that horn sounding synth… yes!

I feel that dnb often feels very frenetic, but your guitar dripping in reverb makes this sound so mellow and chill. Lovely track!

Thanks for the feedback! I do love calming things down with guitar sometimes. Horn sound is Chiral I believe! What a great device...

Sounds great! Thanks again for giving us glimpses into your processes. Always inspiring.

Loving that guitar and the vibe of the outro!

Cheers, I like using the guitar to ease up or spice up some tracks smile

So many nice sounds in this, the choir, the guitar, whatever that thing at the end is.
