Stale Marzipan

This started as a glitchy track using sounds I recorded around the house as drums. Halfway through, it turns into something else, then ends fairly abruptly. There's a few rhythmic bits and timbres I'll probably save for later use.

The switching of the drum effects was decided randomly, but was consistent between playbacks. I think it turned out well, but the way I implemented it didn't let me do any manual alterations. That's something I'll have to futz with more.

Also reinforced something I'd forgottten: recording your own sounds instead of working from a library makes things more personal and interesting, even if the things you're recording aren't themselves special.

Love some home recorded sounds! Nice sound design!

+infinity to this. nothing quite like using self-recorded samples.

also great track! love the shifts of tone.

Great combination of sounds :-)  Really felt like I was plodding along on a mission with you :-)

Great work creating drum sounds. And a very cool track.

Niiiiiice. Totally digging the unlikeliness of the originally recorded sounds.  Cool structure, as well.
