It's a good lesson, I've just had a run-in with it too! This is very moody yet hopeful, nice vibes 
I like that muted sound on the percussion and synths, those reversed samples are cool too.. Nice early entry!

Very nice melody and atmosphere. I like the mellow piano sound and the subtle little reversed sounds that back it. Great job!
