Somnolencia

By Tone Matrix on May 27, 2018 9:54 pm

I was inspired early on by Hundred Water's track "Chambers" and then was derailed by the wrath of Mother Nature.   It's been raining all weekend and today the power decided to drop three times over a three hour period.  Thankfully ableton is smarter than me and backed everything up.  But with your usual slow computer reboot and all that loading, my motivation blew away in the storm...  Hence why it's a shorter than usual track and doesn't go anywhere.  I'm also on some meds for a pulled muscle and kinda out of it (hence the title).  Every minute today felt like it was spent hoping the power wouldn't drop.  It's like being in some sort of twisted horror movie where each time you think you're almost done... ZAP!  "Oooh I like that  chord let me record" ZAPZAP!!!! sad
Any who that being said I better stop typing before it becomes a fourth time, thanks for listening!!! tongue

Oh yeah that sounds really frustrating.  Good thing you have automatic backups, but I can understand the inspiration going.  But you still managed to salvage something worthwhile.  Although short and sweet this does create a very nice mood.  I could definitely listen to it longer.

Heartbreaking stuff, i like it!

so beautiful, I love this track.

Really enjoyable track. Peaceful to listen to even though it was created during a shitty situation.

creepy!  i also had a CPU crash on this week's beat!  bad mojo this week.

beautiful track, however!  hope your injury back feels better.

...and you are recovering from that Virus C LOL

It's very solemn.

Must've been harsh, fortunately I have a laptab for when I want to do some composing off-site, and a melodica for easy music playing. Perhaps you could get an instrument too.

Glad you could still get this uploaded, nice piano melody and really like the crackling fire sound in the background, also great artwork, is that something you painted?

very good!
love those chewing percussion... like gnawers in your powerchord:)

hope your injury is getting better

Thanks everyone I appreciate the kind comments and listening smile  The artwork was just a picture I took of the lame meds I was on and then thrown in the iOS app, Glaze.  Hence the faux painted look smile

That’s awesome, I thought it was a painting of the ocean and that was a lamp post or something

ominous & gorgeous
