Shatter

By Tone Matrix on September 21, 2014 8:22 pm

First off, I would like to apologize to my fellow WBers!  I have a lot of listening/replying to do!  Things have been a bit hectic lately and I thought this might be the week I finally give up.
When I first went to school (1997!) to try and classically become a composer I would sit in the practice room playing the piano for hours in between classes.  So I decided to record a one take improvised piano diddle.  I turned off the quantize, didn't edit my boo boos and slapped some reverb on there and called it a day.  Hopefully next week will be a bit more organized and back to my full tracks.  Otherwise there may be more piano diddles in the future! smile  Thanks for listening, I really appreciate everyone's feedback and time.

I like the piano diddle!  You got a really nice full piano sound and overall it's very pretty track.  It makes for a nice change of pace as well.  I wouldn't be opposed to hearing a few more of these.

great music. I like the reverb clouds.

Excellent improv! Greatly appreciated.

Intensely dramatic!  Awesome improvisation!

boo boos smile

I personally love this, and feel that its a great addition to the Tone Matrix weekly beats portfolio... definitely good to hear some diversity - especially when your musical talents are multidimensional... and If I was listening to an album of downtempo electronica like ur compositions I would really appreciate a break, to enjoy the organic texture of an un edited piano... boo boo's and all...

so thanks for that!

(can't actually distinguish any boo boo's upon first listen...)

a really wonderful character, with a lot of depth and soul -and something that is warmly received and welcomed...

thanks again!

A very nice dramatic piece of piano music and a brilliant improvisation!

There have been worse piano boo boos! Wish I could play piano this well.

Wish I could play the worst of your "boo boos" any day, mate! Touching piece... Sometimes spontaneity is better than the carefully mixed 32 track project

You always make my day with your tracks. Keep 'em coming!

thanks for the comments and input, I may try this once more, though I will admit part of me is afraid to even try that again smile
I've become so locked into "what BPM is this!?" "metronome!" etc… it is nice to sometimes just hit record and let loose.
thanks so much smile

wow! really jealous of your piano skills! Maybe someday i will have to take some lessons smile Very touching piece!
