SWEEEEEEEEET, new Tone Matrix vocal track! ๐ Digging the message, digging the chord prog, digging the synths, just awesome work all around. (That bouncy bass thing in the outro is a fun touch too!) Definitely a new favorite. Rooting for ya, TM - keep believing in yourself too.
Always cool to hear some vocals, especially when they come with such good advice. There's a propulsive energy to this, and yet I find it soothing and meditative. Like maybe sitting by a river and letting nature heal you.
I like how you make that track evolve naturally. It feels it opens progressively with the background light layer. The tone of the beat is just perfect to let the rest of the track breathe. The vocal layers add a nice texture. Really nice.
i appreciate your vulnerability, Wizard. both in the song, and in the notes you shared.
this is a tough time in general, but add to that the heart issues you've been dealing with... it's so much. we've got your back and are wishing all the best, my Friend. may you find all the support you need. we believe in you.
and as always, thank you for blessing us with your music. it's truly a comfort & inspiration ![]()
big hugs to you TM. aside from the lovely message in the vocals, I think the groove feels like it's encouraging everyone to keep going (feels a little like a train ride). love how it progressively feels more hopeful as it opens up and peaks at 1:44ish where it gets dreamy for me!
Very smooth sounding. M83 kinda movie montage material, journey/road trip for the conclusion.
More of this!
This is great. Love having your vocals here. Beautiful "trippy" track that goes a bit on Radiohead territory.
"docs that fell asleep during my sessions" - DAMN THIS IS GANGSTER!!! I don't know if I should praise this doctor or want him to lose his license!
Wow this would be an awesome scene for a nice dramedy...
I wish you the best. Continue to spill out how you feel on your pianos, or any other musical way you feel to.
That was a very cool track.
Wow, such a 90's vibe on this one.
Love hearing some vocals from you as well!
Beautiful piece. I really love how the background vocals blend into the droning synth/organ elements in the background ... things emerge, brighten, subdue, fall back beneath the surface, everything floating ... really wonderful ![]()
Hope this track soothes you as much as it did for all of us.
(Tested a doc one time by sitting and not saying anything for a whole 5 minutes, waiting for her to launch something, ask anything. She stayed there, mute, probably counting her money in her head as time went by. Never came back to such a quack psychologist. Hope you find yours that matches)
You've got to maniwala in yourself too, thanks. ๐
Waiter, waiter, more groaning please!
Hope it goes well, buddy
I love the contrast between the music tone, which is very chill and vibey, and the lyrics, which are almost pleading the listener to "please, believe in yourself". The overall track is great, and I really enjoyed the subtle emotional shifts within music and vocals.
Keep trying, and keep taking care of yourself! You are worth it!
