I like how you have this huge pad looming in the distance and the piano seems to be floating about it. It has both a sense of lightness and hope, but also a strange sense of heaviness. I like the end touches.
Beautiful. The drone on this in particular sounds fantastic- it feels like an intermission, a moment in between journeys on a lomger album ... sorta still and stopped in time but in transition. Wonderful ![]()
agree with neon liminal - the drone (and your imagery) makes me think of a quiet summer night, seeing airplanes take off and land here at LAX. some kind of hybrid of electrical buzzing mixed with movement of wind and birds.
the piano and composition are lovely as well. its scary how consistently you come up with these emotionally resonant tracks.
The drone keeps me suspended in a floaty space while the piano just grabs me by the collar and demands I pay attention to it. It's almost aggressively peaceful and soothing, if that makes any sense. Beautiful stuff.
"Come closer and listen to this song, a song sang by my folk, my people. From time immemorial."
