I managed to squeak out a submission for the Westworld Scoring Competition with about 25mins to spare on Wednesday.   Up until the day before I was really disliking what I had.  Mainly because I had bits and pieces and not a fleshed out completed track.  Thankfully Albion One inspired me a lot and got the ball rolling.  There's a little bit of everything in here from all the software I have available.  The main w0mp bass is from Ableton's wavetable synth.  The usual Spitfire audio Soft Piano along with their Discover version of the BBC Symphony Orchestra (strings & brass).  Plus my new toy Albion One which was responsible for all the cool drones, strings, cinematic brass and gongs.  Overall I was proud of being able to finish the track because I've never actually scored to an action scene before.  I have a new appreciation for all my film composer idols.  Had they just said "make a new theme for the show" that would have felt easier but this definitely got me outside of my comfort zone.  Here's the full clip that I submitted.  Hopefully I pasted the code correctly. Thanks for watching/listening!

Tight track with a flow that makes the track constantly interesting and evolving. The piano melody, nice touch. This is one of my more favorite tracks from you.

Holy shit dude, this is so cool!  I was going to comment on how sweet that w0mp bass was before I saw you called it out.  The transition at the part where fucking Jessie Pinkman is bugging out is cool as hell man.  And the brass when the trucks explode is perfect.  Keep me posted on this, I wouldn't be surprised at all if you won.

That was super cool.  I listened first on its own and definitely picked up on the sense of tension and some sci-fi vibes.  Watching the video really took it to another level.  Good luck!  I quite enjoyed the first season of Westworld but got kind of bored during the second season and bailed about halfway.  It looks like they're taking it in a different direction for season 3 though.

Also I loved how you matched up some big musical moment with what happened on screen like when the truck exploded.  I know that can be tough to do.  About a decade ago I made an alternative soundtrack to the cartoon version of Alice in Wonderland just for fun.  It was one of the hardest musical things I've done from the standpoint of making the songs "work" on their own but also matching up with the action on screen.  I sadly can't share my version anywhere because it's unauthorized and Disney is super hardcore on clamping down on that.  It's cool that you were able to do this in an "official" capacity.

you hit the spot, even not working in your comfort zone. your soundtrack awesome. hope you will win.

Damn, it's intense!Matches up with the action and feel of the scene very well.  The growly woooommmp bass sound is totally a Westworld future world sound.  Nice grand orchestral interlude when that car blew up, and then sharp return to the action beat.  Was like a brief respite of victory and then return to business.  Nice sync up with the logo at the end.  As a track, it stands on it's own but really fun to see it with the clip.  Nice work... good luck!

Wow, nice work, it’s hard enough making music but then to score it to the video is just another level.  Glad you were able to meet the deadline and complete this.  The pace of the music suited the scene very well and great job with changing it up as the action changed, in particular when he thinks the missile missed then it hits the chasing car.  I have watched Westworld and the music fits in very well with the show and especially the vibe of this last season.

Was kindly alerted to this by Chrisfoo, and for good reason, heck. Great work. Some awesome tones in there, and such an enveloping sound. Works so well for the scene.

Great job! Really good score, totally works. Much respect! So much work to do that. Scoring film is an awesome thing to aspire to. I recently finished season 3 and enjoyed that scene and episode, so much action! And weird future drugs!  In hearing your piece here, I was thinking, wait, was this actually in the show?

Sooooo good!!!

This is so fucking liit...

that bass sound and composition are off the hook...

jeez...
