Oglop Hop

By Anon_Buster on June 7, 2020 1:10 pm

Another quick track. I'm trying to arrange a good track with guitar, but haven't found the right balance between guitar and synthesizer parts. Until I find the right arrangements for those tracks, I'm submitting this track that I used while working on sequencing drums. I think I went overboard on the drum sounds. But when I came across this weird sound produced by a filter, I immediately thought of the oglops (froglike critters) from when I played Final Fantasy IX.

Yo this has such a great feel to it. Really like the way you bring in subtle melody variations with different instruments. I didn't feel like the drums were overbearing or anything like that, either. (Incidentally, IX is my fav final fantasy after 6, because I'm a bit old school like that.)

I hear them frogs! Love the range of sounds and textures in this track. Got a really fun vibe with a hint of 8bit game sound, but overall very full sound.

My man, this is real bouncy! The sounds feel nicely spaced out and well-balanced as well. Awesome job!

Definitely a fun bouncy track with the tight bassline and the froggy squelches.  Great use of the melodies too.  Drums didn't sound overbearing to me.  This sorta felt like if Postal Service met Final Fantasy smile
