Another beat driven track that sorta started out with the Bass Station but then went in a slightly different direction.  Basically the only thing from the BS2 is the wop-wop sorta filtered barking sound.  Course once I put the piano in a bunch of ideas jumbled up in my brain and I couldn't decide where to go next.  The first time I played it I had delusions of grandeur but then the more it looped round and round I realized I lost part of it.  Soooo it is what it be.. Synths are from Ableton Wavetable & Operator.  The main piano is from my Roland RD700GX.  Another milder piano with strings and brass (towards the end) are from Spitfire.

What a nice arp and chord progression! That's a very cool one and works so well with the combo of the woofing bass and acid like lines. Very cool piano breakdown at 1:30 that reminds me A LOT of NIN. I like the dynamics you bring in at 2:40, the track gets to another level from that point, with some arps/leads that would not be out of place in an early Muse album. This is a keeper. Thank you for this track, that was great!

Something about your chord changes is very delicious.  KILLER breakdown.  Going to have to download this and send it to one of my buddies.

WHAT happened at 2:22??  That is some music theory magic // please teach me how to be a wizard.  Your music inspires me!

I wasn't going to say it but it would definitely be some The Fragile/With Teeth era action heart

This one has a bit of an ominous sinister feeling to it to me.  I could see it soundtracking some kind of techno-thriller type of movie.  Some really great builds and releases going on here.

That piano at 1:30 = delicious.

Lovely epic masteriece of music. The pianobreaks are awesome and give the track new directions before the synth-arps take over again. Beautiful.

Really awesome track, Trent Reznor wouldn't be proud...he'd be jealous!

I wasn’t going to make another NIN reference/comment ... but man, this sounds like Trent Reznor made this!  Love it, great job again, keep it up.

Thanks everyone!  I def don't mind the NIN comments.  Sometimes I'm a lil upset with myself though for puking out variations of his progressions.  But I can't help that because of all the bands/artists I listen to, his music leads in hours spent in my brain smile  Also the piano I use (RD700GX) was the same model he used on tour back in 2007-2009ish.  So every time I hit a low note on the piano it instantly brings back all the NIN tracks I adore smile
The transition at 2:22 was a happy accident.  I knew I wanted to put a change in there and I kinda just followed the chord shape of my hands like it was a house track.  But I think I also mimicked Trent's song structure slightly of "All The Love In The World".  Mainly the kick/piano breakdown in the middle of his track. Thanks again for listening I really appreciate it!

Nice use of effects. When the low-pass filter opens up and the stereo image bounces the percussive scratch sound between the ears, it feels like I just walked out of a tunnel. The development is fluid throughout and mixes three distinct ideas cohesively. Love it.

The build-up is great. The piano breaking it down is spectacular. Very pretty.

Ahh man, lovely work. The drop after that first piano bit is magic. So many simple elements combine in really nice complex ways.

what a fookin beaut!!

*feels uplifted and chooses life*

Love that filter bass.  So much drive and rhythm in all the filter changes.  Also, great piano tone.  Favorite part is when everything drops out and the piano establishes the melody before the rest of the arrangement comes back in.  Nice constant build up.

Dude, whatever happens at 0:45 (and a few other times) on this is awesome.  Is that like some kind of res/filter automation on that synth?

Yah I'm not gonna pretend to be some amazing sound designer, it's a wavetable preset I stumbled upon in Ableton.  So if I remember correctly it does the filter sweepy thing when the note is held out.  Or maybe when it releases?  Either way it was a happy accident that def made the transition easier. smile

Awesome! -- Love how it slow burn built up then really opens up.
