Betwixt

I'm my own worst enemy to an insane degree.  I have driven myself crazy this week with trying to create something I have interest and inspiration in.  I have been struggling the past few weeks to even sit at the keyboard and feel confident in something new.  I'm hoping I can float thru this burnt out phase soon.  I will say this though, hearing the new Aphex Twin album may wake my tiny brain up.  Not that I'm going to bust out the Aphex beats, but hearing a new album from one of my favs is always a nice change.  After a few more rounds of Syro, I finally need to catch up on everyone's music!  (bad fellow WBer) Thanks for listening, go RDJ!

Yeah, I feel you. I didn't have anything to do all week, yet I still managed to put my track off to the last minute!

Ha....I´ve had the exact same struggle, and actually started to create an "ode to Syro" glitch-thingy track, but it was not quite worthy of the title. Nice melody though....and it could easily be the main theme to an melancholy indie film.

Nice!

Well, quite good for an "uninspired" week. This is banging loud on a rainy mondat morning near the east mountains of Granada right now smile

I myself have a fight to finish this last week. Completely out of ideas, just tried to make it sound good and give it some movement. After all, it's 39 tracks already and counting

Haven't given Syro a listen yet. Hope to catch up, after hearing some more of your tracks smile

welcome to the club! smile

just throw together some chords and loops and the crowd here will go wild. kidding. if you feel there is a struggle, then it's a good sign that you have grown out of your own quality requirements. it's only becoming better! personally, this weeks track is not so bad at all. it can't always be super showoff-badassery.

thanks guys, i totally realize i'm not the only one going thru this and i probably should smash some of that fear away.  Thanks for the push!
*holds on*

It honestly has a really pretty melody and creates a nice wistful mood.  If this is lack of inspiration it's going to be scary when you get inspired again.  smile

I know the feeling, but I don't think you have any reason to feel bad about this track. A nice melody and I think the mix is really good, with just the right amount of space.

Well, i feel you. I'm sure it's the same with most musicians and "creatives". But it's part of the process.
