Thanks! Yeah, The Midnight is definitely in the synthwave scene, so their sample pack is very synthwavey. I like that the 'organic' bass sound I recorded makes for a slightly different feel than the pulsey synth bass common to synthwave. I think it's called 'city pop', a Japanese genre of synth-based pop that synthwave is partially inspired by?

That bass is infectious, makes me want to hop around, and i really love the nightime-in-the-city feel of it all, too. Such evocative work, mixed with great skill!
