The Airport

By Tomatron.Jones on August 4, 2024 1:33 am

I am traveling this week to Madrid so I don't have much time. This was created while in the airport, recording ambient samples then creating a heavy, dark electronica sound similar to Lorn and Abul Mogard. It's not great but there's some fun sounds in there and I'm trying to not break the streak.

* Bass from Ableton bass instruments
* Synth arp and kick samples from Splice
* Ample use of Valhalla, Transit, Trackspacer plugins (and more)
* Gullfoss and Ozone for mastering

Total Time: 2.5 hours

This has a really interesting feel, almost like an abstracted portal

don't break the streak!

cool whirlwind of sound - nice panning

I love the ambient sounds at airports.  the pa system, the planes taking off, my favorite is the bing bong for seatbelts on the plane

Big fan of these kind of textures! Excelent sound design!

Thank you! Funny thing, that 'bong' sound was actually my alarm on my phone going off while I was recoring the airport ambience.
