Proof of Simulation

By Tomatron.Jones on February 11, 2024 9:23 am

I didn't have a ton of time this week on account of my band recording drums so I made a quick electronica-ish one. I figured I'd slow it down after the last couple were pretty hard. A few samples from Splice, including a choral vocal sample, manipulated heavily, and including dropping a drum beat into Ableton Simpler and chopping it up into glitchy, almost breakbeat style beats. Kinda fun. The title 'Proof of Simulation' comes from a text conversation with a friend over the week. I like the idea of beat titles being little reminders of interesting conversations.

Total Time: 3 hours, 40 minutes

rad track, those choppy beats work really well and the sound design on the synths is great.

The guitar-like synth lead sounds amazing!  Awesome atmosphere overall.  +Fav for this week

love the lead synth, super cool

This has tons of energy, great job with chopping the drums, that sweeping synth lead is awesome.
