Haezer-y #1

By Tomatron.Jones on January 25, 2026 11:58 pm

I found an 8 bar loop I started last year, and realize it sounded a bit like the track 'Dare and C' from Haezer, who I've been really into lately. It's heavy, synth, housey, gritty. The chuggy, throbby, stuccato bass in particular. I threw on a bunch of synths and some manipulated samples of arps and chords, lots of automation with bit crushing, Transit, etc. I followed his pattern with a few different drops, escalation, 'dropping the 1' or whatever its' called. I had fun with this one, kinda want to do more like this. Literally submitting this with 2 minutes left, I wish I had a bit more time!

* Synth and drum samples from Splice
* Ableton Wavetable for lead synth
* Ableton drum fro some drum layers
* Transit, Valhalla plugins
* Gullfoss + Izotope Elements for master

Total Time: 4 hours, 45 minutes

Nice push forward track.

I like the chord progression and dense synths there.

Thank you! There's some improvements to make in adding space, better tension-building and such, but it's a fun one and I'll be using Haezer as more inspiration for future tracks!

I love everything about this. The throbby pads keep it sounding lush and that percussion is something else.

This has a really nice momentum to it, cool percussion going on too!

Woah thanks! I used/abused the pump / hype effect from Transit quite a bit, haha!

Thanks! I did a lot of automating various effects on the drums, from some filters to bit-crush, as well as layering drum samples with Ableton drum kits. It was fun!
