I took a basic chord progression using synth samples from an old project and made a big arrangement around it. The main focus was using Ableton Live's 'Beat' warp mode options, which I never tinkered with until this week. Altering the transient 'preserve' and 'envelope' values created very interesting percussive effects. I used that on the bulk of the synths and even turning white noise into a hi-hat with it. Lots of other fun. I also layered some pitched kicks for polyrhythms and other fun stuff.
