Chiptunes #1

By Tomatron.Jones on March 24, 2024 2:56 am

This one started with some guitar noodling - I haven't played electric guitar in months as I work on bass and synths for a band. It was fun to mess around with some basic riffs and chuggy chords. Then I found some Anamanaguchi samples on Splice and suddenly it became a chiptunes indie-rock sounding track. It was fun, I think I'll do more.

* Gibson SG + Neural DSP 'Plini Archetype' for guitar
* Splice samples, mostly Anamanaguchi
* Ableton instruments for bass
* Transit, Gullfoss, Ozone Elements plugins

Total Time: 3.5 hours

I'd kill to be able to produce something this moving in 3.5 hours! The mix is full & lush and the whole thing would be right at home as the opening credits to an amazing anime.

Woah, thank you! I love the idea of it being opening credits for anime, I hadn't realized it could fit that. So cool.

Oh this is pumping!
