I had a long week of band preparation and practice for a show, so I needed to offset that focused musicianship with some slow, ambient sound design. I took a handful of cello samples and turned them into a sort of pensive ambient loop, messed with them, added a synth bass, and lots of FX and automation. All on top of 'wind in the trees' sample. I use the RC-20 to add some 'lo-fi' cassette tape recorded sound at the beginning and end. It took a bit longer than it sounds just because I kept going back and forth about adding new things only to remove it to keep it simple.
* Helm and Ableton Bass for bass synth
* Misc samples from Splice - cellos, wind in trees
* Plugins : RC-20, Transient, Ozone, Gullfoss, Valhalla Supermassive
