Couldn't decide what to do today, so used an oblique strategy: write an exhaustive list of all the things you could do and then do the last thing on that list. Rather telling of my gear priorities at the moment, writing a track on the M8 was the last thing on that list. So, chucked some samples on the M8 and quickly whipped this up, which honestly was very good practice and didn't go as badly as I thought. Not the most original or interesting track but good to do nevertheless.

This week has been good! My parents have been visiting and yesterday I rode to Williamstown with them and my sister. Last night I went to a great chiptune show, saw lots of old friends, heard some great new music, and left feeling rather inspired. However, thanks to train closures and a Billy Joel concert in the city, getting to and from the gig was a nightmare, so I've named the track "traffic".

this is such a beautifully unique sounding beat for this style, it's almost trance-like, but far more modern in its gracefully subtle execution throughout all aspects: sound-design, structure, mix, rhythmic and pitched interplay.. so good!

I refused on principle

effective filtering to devide the parts. the bass bend does it. great rave lead.
