Balnarring Beach

By Tom Foolery on January 12, 2020 2:51 am

This week, I have taken a trip to Anna's parents' house at balnarring beach. This piece is a short improvisation recorded on the piano that is there. In the background, you can here the radio upstairs, and the dachshunds trotting around on the floorboards.

I have had no real thematic approach to weeklybeats so far, but I am enjoying that the pieces are attached to the places I have been, and the things I have done. It also felt great to play a real piano again.

Really pretty. I love all the additional sounds, such as the dachshunds, the radio, etc. Really lovely.

beautiful stuff dude! lofi piano is so fricken nice big_smile

Ready to embrace our impending doom now \o/

such tension

very pretty! it's tense but also feels like the soundtrack to a grand epiphany

Nice! Cool to embrace the natural ambiance around you too. Enhances the overall vibe I think.

Thanks everyone. It's been a while since I'd played a piano, and I believe the recording captured quite accurately not only what I was playing, but what it is like to be playing the piano, and how it brings out the sounds around the music as well. It's always encouraging to hear your kind words.

So much tension. But with a spark of hope buried in there. Fantastic piece.
