Shangaan Singeli Chiptune

By tobokegao on January 19, 2020 11:55 pm

I like South Africa music. Shangaan Electro, Singeli, Amapiano ...
It's amazing how many times the same melody changes in a complex way.
So, for many years, I had been thinking about playing that music on a Gameboy.
I wrote the song this year because everything was finally feasible.

P.S. At first it was a test of LSDj v7.7.7, but due to the bug that the Chain screen of Pulse02 and wave did not work halfway, I continued to compose with v7.6.4. You can check the video of the actual bug here.

25:30~ buggy

update: "actually figured it out! It’s when START,START queueing in live mode, then switching to song mode before queued chain started. Thanks a ton for the report!!" by Johan Kotlinski

Since I used GBASP, the music was almost reproducible, and I didn't mind the reproducibility mismatch with the emulator. I don't know if the song can be played without delay with DMG!

I thought singeli was born in South Africa, but it actually originated in East Africa! Sorry!

Thank you so much! Actually, I was trying weeklybeats in 2018, but I gave up on the way. This year I want to do it to the end!
