Haarlem Posture

By tim koch on April 20, 2014 11:53 pm

Reworking of an unreleased track of mine. Origin of the track title is that I played a very early version of this at a gig in Haarlem (just out of Amsterdam), with Kettel and Ten and Tracer - a girl came up post-gig and we thought wow our first female admirer of moody and brooding  electronic music and to our dismay her only comment was mostly that she thought we all had shocking posture hunched over our laptops, and that she was a chiropractor and wanted to offer her services .. win!

The track itself is lots of live pads played over my attempts at a freeform-ish beat that was supposed to bypass any rigid time sig - think there were multiple buffer override things going on. Apart from that just self indulgent layering as per usual.

Nice one.  Kind of reminds me of some earlier warp type artists.  Melodic and playful with some sweet tones and rhythms.  Works well.

A bit of an epic fade out tho.  More epic than Hotel California even.  haha.

The chiropractic shtick is the standard dutch pickup line. I hope you said yes.

Enjoying the slow clockwork, and personally I don't find it moody or brooding one bit.
This is exactly the kind of music that gets me in a good creative alfa-lfa-state. Adding to le playliste.

I don't find this one moody or brooding at all, more like bliss

The freeform-ish beats works very well, and seen from my musical reality this is much more playful than brooding. Great work!

Oh yes, very delicate and beautiful stuff. Fav'd!
