At 44 weeks, it's starting to feel like the home stretch of this project. I am definitely feeling fatigued creatively at this point and struggling to find the energy and enthusiasm to complete tracks like this one. I can tell I am starting to rely on certain formulas that have worked in the prior weeks. Taking that approach allows me to finish a track, but it doesn't feel very creative. The basic formula here was to build a drum kit in Ableton Note and then find samples in the same key and chop them all up in the main DAW. Mixing this track was tough because I didn't have the chance to get in front of my monitor speakers and all of the different headphones I used seemed to produce inconsistent sounds. I am just going to stop messing with it at this point and let it be a part of the entire body of tracks that will make up the whole year's worth.
